Getting Together

Just reminiscing about meeting two wonderful people, Wayne and Sherri. They share a lot of the same values as me. They know chronic illness, and Wayne is to be commended for being such a wonderful caregiver to his lovely and beautiful wife.

I just met them....and yet it seems like I will know them forever. Why is that?

Some people just are meant to meet. Sometimes it is fate, they say. Or coincidence, perhaps. Or even serendipity. But I believe that God prepares that straight and narrow path before us, and leads our paths to meet together.

I have made so many FB friends, and my YT friends have helped me get better. I just wanted to thank God for you! Without you all, I would be alone in bed. With you, we are together in time and in moments of both happiness and sadness.

I have high hopes for 2011. Wayne Connell established the Invisible Disabilities Association 14 years ago. What? He understands us, and has seen the flux of movement over the years.

But 2011 is special. It is a year for gaining. For growing. To become strong, we need to stay together. I would like to go to their IDA meeting in Colorado, this October. I would love to meet other people in 'person'. I believe we will all walk away stronger.

For together we are strong. LoLv.

  3. Dr. Margaret, you are an incredible person! The honor was all ours to meet you! Thank you for all you are doing for those living with Dysautonomia, POTS and other invisible illnesses. You bring about amazing awareness to the medical community and support to those living with these conditions, in the midst of your own suffering. ~Sherri
