Focus on Kylie Wolfson / Concéntrese en Kylie Wolfson

Tired of today? Glad yesterday is over? Are you thinking that all of your tomorrows look depressing and that nothing is going to change? You are not alone. Please know that you are not alone. If you suffer from a chronic illness or disability, we get it. If you know there is something wrong with you but the doctors don't have a diagnosis for you, then read on. Sometimes we just have to believe in ourselves. And take one day at a time. Hey, if you can read this, you have a computer! Did you hear about the Chinese man who donated a kidney to get a free iPad? He reportedly is having complications today...just go to yahoo.com and it is on the main news page. So aren't you glad you don't have this kind of situation? Sometimes we just have to be grateful for what we have today. It may sound cliche, but it is the truth. Only with an attitude of grace can we hope to get past adversity without wearing a chip on our shoulder for every one to see. If we need to 'go through' illness, walking a hard road, then that is what we need to do... we need to 'go through' it with grace. Hold your head up. You matter. If you know there is something wrong with your physical body, then chances are that there is probably something wrong with it. So many of us have been trained as doctors to 'listen to the patient'. The whole entire concept of a physician:patient relationship starts with the "Patient Complaint". Doctors call it a Complaint. Doctors are trained to listen to Complaints over and over again, day by day. We then need to synthesize the complaint(s) and decide on a diagnosis and treatment plan. So if you are one of the wanderers with no diagnosis...or if you have a diagnosis and are waiting to get better....please know that there are oogles and boogles of sites, blogs, You Tube videos, and groups that simply abound!!! You are not alone! Hat's off to Kyli Wolfson from The Dysautonomia Connection, who started POTS Pals! For dysautonomia...taking the time and the years to 'match' one person with another...a newly diagnosed teenager, for example, with some one who has had the diagnosis for years. The mixing of a 'big sister' and a 'little sister' in Girl Scouts, as well as many fundamental churches and organizations is a well-recognized tool for coping. We all need Coping Mechanisms. If you don't have one, if you feel lonely, if you feel misunderstood, or if you just plain want to talk to some one who knows your Path....there is nothing like talking to some one who has been there already. So before you squeek and squak too much, please know that there are others who have gone before you, doing the same thing. Others have already paved your road...you just have to find it. Reach out. Lift your hand, lift your finger. Type a few notes on FB, or here. Let's put you in a better place. Just reach out and ask for help. Llegar. Levante la mano, levante el dedo. Escriba unas cuantas notas en FB, o aquí. Vamos a ponerlo en un lugar mejor. Sólo llegar y pedir ayuda.
